A Sense for Memory: Part Two

R.H. Stevens

The sword was supposed to be beyond anyone’s reach. A year later, two legendary soldiers steal it.

Commander Qwatajawa believed Reivosumet had been sealed away for good. Then the powerful, otherworldly weapon resurfaces in an attack on a space station. Its new wielders seize a prototype vessel equipped with wormhole technology and vanish into the far reaches of space.

The theft ignites a major diplomatic crisis. With her career at risk and rival powers edging towards civil war, Qwatajawa must reunite her team and pursue two of the galaxy’s most formidable fugitives. Their mission is clear: recover the stolen ship, bring the soldiers to justice, and destroy Reivosumet before the crisis erupts into war.

Set entirely among alien species, A Sense for Memory: Part Two concludes the illustrated xenofiction duology with interstellar pursuit, political intrigue, strange worlds, and high-stakes science-fantasy adventure.

About the book

A thrilling chase across the galaxy for a dangerous alien artifact

A Sense for Memory: Part Two takes place one year after the events of the first novel. Commander Qwatajawa and her cabal have resumed their usual lives, leaving the conspiracy they uncovered behind them—or so they believe.

Their hard-won peace is shattered when Reivosumet, the dangerous alien artifact discovered during the first book, resurfaces in the hands of two legendary warriors. After the pair attack a space station governed by a separatist movement and escape with the artifact, Qwatajawa and her team are dispatched in pursuit. Their mission is simple in principle: recover Reivosumet, apprehend those responsible and prevent an already volatile political situation from becoming a major diplomatic crisis.

Meanwhile, Qwatajawa’s enigmatic best friend, Illusionist Xa-Kol, finds herself drawn into a mystery of her own. Recalled to the site of one of her earliest adventures, she learns that an eldritch creature she slew decades ago may not be quite as dead as she believed.

As both investigations unfold, seemingly separate events begin to converge. Their paths ultimately lead to a distant alien world, where old enemies, dangerous ambitions and forces beyond anyone’s understanding collide in an action-packed confrontation.

Survival is far from guaranteed.

The action just barrels along non-stop on all 3 (4?) of the major storylines coming to a shattering head. But, still leaving the audience guessing!
